Like a Superhero

If you’re feeling blue in your current job, let Deadpool 2’s inspiring rave reviews remind you that sometimes the sequel is even better than the first movie. As in, your next job might be your best role to date. All you have to do is simply slap on a breathable spandex outfit (something you can do flips in) and check out the plentiful list of super opportunities below.

(We wanted to quote the sassy superhero himself, but there was literally not one single appropriate option. Probably best not to take cues from him when interviewing.)

And you know what else is cool? Technical.ly sister site Generocity is hosting a job fair next week — Monday, May 21, to be precise. If youre a technologist who wants to do Good in this world, then this is the event for you. Click here to RSVP and get info on the 23 orgs hiring or looking for volunteers.

CardConnect shared its secret sauce for becoming Philly.com’s #1 Top Workplace (midsize) of 2018. Vybe’s network of urgent care clinics (formerly known as On Demand Urgent Care) is not only the modern, feel-good answer to when you accidentally bump your noggin, it’s also received significant funding to expand its footprint and provide on-site training for local med students. For those interested in promoting this newly hip mode of urgent care innovation, the company is hiring in sales and marketing.

Turn5 fulfilled 18-year-old Earl Offenback’s Fast and Furious dreams when it revamped the Make-A-Wish recipient’s 2002 Jeep Cherokee with $30,000 worth of customized parts. The Vin Diesel–grade ride was revealed during the company’s annual block party at its new 90,000-squar-foot headquarters in Paoli. But they aren’t just filling that space with car parts. The auto ecommerce retailer plans to hire 180 team members over the next three years. Did we mention the bowling balls with your face on it?

To the Jobs!

Demand remains very high for senior-level tech talent in Philly:

  • Practice (an Instructure company) is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, amongst a slew of other key senior roles, to build out its skills-training software.
  • Cloud hosting provider Linode is looking for a Senior Cloud Client Executive to manage top-tier clients in this “hybrid sales position.” Free lunch included!
  • Pharmatech leader Integrichain seeks a Senior Business Analyst to work on its Customer Operations team. Love of “standing” a plus (hint: read the “about us” section).
  • No. 1 Top Small Workplace in Philly, Chariot Solutions is hiring multiple Senior Java/Spring Engineers.
  • Clarivate Analytics is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design and engineering efforts for its risk-taking clients. “Can do” attitudes only.
  • Stitch — an ETL service built for developers — is hiring a Senior Front End Engineer. Clothes-whores please note, this is not to be confused with Stitch Fix. Didn’t want you to be disappointed when you didn’t get a discount on new duds.

And demand continues to grow just outside Philly lines:

  • Web and mobile product development consultancy SmartLogic is hiring a Sales and Business Analyst to work in its swanky, plant-filled office space in Baltimore. Can’t go wrong with all that extra oxygen swirling around.
  • Propel in Brooklyn is looking for a Senior Software Developer.
  • The Archer Group — a digital agency with a diverse client roster in Wilmington, Del. (including Wawa) — is looking for a curious, flexible Associate Business Analyst with multitasking skills.
  • D.C.-based civtech firm Nava seeks a Program Manager.
