Did you know that one of the companies most on the cutting edge of AI workforce is John Deere? No, they didn't replace their tractor salesmen and experienced agriculture employees with generative AI. That experience was too valuable and couldn't be replaced with new employees with AI certifications (or AI itself).

Instead, John Deere upskilled the workforce it has by augmenting the jobs. That's just one of the things I learned about AI last week at the Tech Council's conference.

Delaware came together with Philadelphia and southern new Jersey to form the Greater Philadelphia Region Precision Medicine Tech Hub, also known as PROPEL.

It was selected as a tech hub and put together a grant request in 2023. The bad news is, PROPEL didn't get the funds. Still, an unnamed official says more money might be coming down the pipeline, so it's not over yet.
