A new biotech player is coming to Baltimore.

Gov. Moore announced yesterday that Korean life sciences company Nature Cell plans to build a 100,000-square-foot stem cell manufacturing facility at Gaslight Square in South Baltimore.

The move follows years of Maryland investment in stem cell research and commercialization, with the company citing the state’s long-term support and strong talent pipeline from local universities as key reasons for choosing the region.

Speaking of homegrown talent, nominations are now open for the 2025 Technical.ly Awards. Cast your vote for standout innovators and leaders shaping Maryland’s tech scene at technical.ly/vote.
